On 18 June 2024, the automatically renewing Let's Encrypt provided certificate failed to renew and expired on the origin server (Gitlab Pages) hosting the site. This led to degraded performance as a cached copy of the site's contents were being served by Cloudflare instead of the content from the origin server. The origin server now uses 15 year Cloudflare certificates to avoid this issue going forward.
